I don't recall the core gameplay being that much different or better in KF2/1. Although they may be more fleshed out and polished experiences with their years of development, but honestly I remember them being a bit more janky. I think alot of the anger comes from this new form of game development where games are launched in early access or as full releases with their content chopped up and sold in pieces... ontop of a battle pass in the full priced game. That sucks.

But yeah thoroughly enjoying the game. I think OP is spot on.

Exactly. People nowadays cry too much. For the people who didn't like it: refund it, if you want, but stop this nonsense, and let who enjoyed the game play the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game in peace.

What I liked in 1.0 was the total server wipe out. After almost a month, I'm starting to get bored.
Even reading the drama in the discussions is more fun than playing this game. Lol.
When will there be another server wipe? It makes me excited to start from scratch.

Can't say the same for myself. I've done 10+ arc tower + frost runs and wasn't able to beat even wave 40 let alone 50. I've had upward of 90 arc towers, with the 10% proc chance for "3rd level" spell that does like 30k base damage, with 1000% spell damage, with 400% "synergy" bonus.

My only improvements so far is that i can hit wave 40 fairly reliably, but the double 45 million boss gets me every time. Best i got so far was taking each of them down to 75% HP. I'm going to try raven tower run though. Going to try to build more frost towers with chance to freeze, i've seen that on youtube just yesterday. Freeze 20+ chance is really good as it counters those mobs that move unbelievably fast

Same for me. Never played before the last patch so no idea if this is normal. Good RNG runs with decent map, frost+arc fusion with lighting surge and jump banners. More than 1000% spell damage, 900%+ spell damage to slowed enemies, rune towers boosting firing rate. Tornado towers gathering stone and with stun. Multitude generalist banner. Level 45 thunderclash (pretty sure there's only one boss?) walks through about 50% damage no matter what I do.

With that said I can pretty much get to wave 40 with any random selection of towers or a single tower (even arrows). But have never completed wave 45.
