If you were savvy with them, could afford better than a potato PC, and had good enough eyes to tell what looks more realistic than an artist's rendering and what doesn't, you wouldn't be whining. Yes, Go into Options/Accessibility and you can turn that off.

Try adjusting some settings in Options/Accessibility. You can reduce the zooms.

I'm very intrigued by the Control mechanism in EU5.... as this will likely change how fast we blob out. It seems like at the start the focus will be "tall" >>>> focusing on economy, solidifying your borders in the vicinity, choosing the focus of your country (tech, buildings, policy etc). I like how it somewhat forces you to focus inwards rather than immediately have ambitions taking as much territory as possible.

You CAN go galavanting further out..... but the benefits maybe limited (depending on your country and bonuses). As you come online... maybe early mid game you start to feel like expanding is more viable.

Personally, I think this is a good mechanics change that adds a better progression to the game.

Video is up. Tonight when I arrive from work I will test the game at 4K but seeing how it runs at 1440p it's most likely that you will need DLSS Quality or Balanced to get similar performance.

They count over time, i was also concerned that many achievements didn't pop when you thought you'd done enough. But they do pop...
