The amount of people who don't know the difference between a developer(Haemimont Games, Abstraction Games) and a publisher(Paradox Interactive) is mind blowing. They do very different things. While Paradox does have a development arm(Paradox Development Studio), they were never involved with Surviving Mars.

Paradox acquired HG on February 6th of THIS YEAR. They immediately started work on all of this because they knew the last two major DLCs were awful. If you want to blame Paradox for something, blame them for hiring AG once HG stepped away. But of course, no one in the comments even attempts to research beyond watching a Youtube trailer.

The people saying "lazy cash grab" are the true lazy ones for providing literally zero substance here. Devs and publishers have employees to pay, which is why this costs money. We SHOULD be debating on pricing since some of us have owned all the DLCs for awhile, but in no way do i expect people to work for free, even if it is fixing a mistake by another dev. Get off your toddler soapboxes, we're tired of hearing you scream "We want it fow fweeeeeee!!!!!"

Maybe I should be clearer: rest morale/sanity should not decay at all no matter how much time you stay awake/not sleep because, supposedly, it's a mechanic that is correlated to QUALITY of sleep and no the QUANTITY of sleep.

The mechanic related to QUANTITY of sleep should be fatigue.

Otherwise just delete fatigue from the game because,right now, it's an useless mechanic redundant with rest morale/sanity.

Fatigue represents physical tiredness. You accumulate it by engaging in energy-heavy activities. Sleep psyche is mental tiredness that grows over time not matter what you do. You still need to sleep regularly even if you barely had any physical activity and laid in bed the whole day.

The quality of sleep and the amount of sleep are tightly correlated. Having a really good night of sleep once every three days won’t really feel very weĺl.

I understand your idea to tie them closer, but to do so I’d need to introduce a fast accumulating fatigue penalty for when you hadn’t slept for a while. Which would feel much more repressive and penalizing than the implementation we have right now.

Still too expensive for me.

awesome. poe2's controller support is so much better than poe1 I can't go back. I'm glad to see more stuff come to poe2. hopefully new area maps arent as weird to navigate as the caravans lol
