As a general update to the above smackdown I ended up uninstalling this game from my actual harddrive and have been mainlining the USB stick cause the game is so big. The original point of putting it on the USB stick was never for this silly disk speed test it was to give it to a friend with a crappy PC, I wanted to see how terrible it'd run. For the record I've ran this game on an iGPU. Anyways the problem with planning on giving your game drive away is, I gave it away and now I no longer have helldivers installed on anything good.

Why am I yapping? It's cause this is what led me to try and mainline the awful hard drive. At some point a loading screen started taking an actual long time like you described. Then the entire OS froze until I ripped the drive out, it actually crashed again I just cannot stress the watery dogness of this thing. How are you managing to get stutters from disk usage? Are you using a HDD as your boot drive? Have you engineered the most fragmented file system possible? Did you pour sand into a laptop HDD and use that? Talk to me goose

A: suggestions

1: being able to remove the blood fungus thing whenever it appears around your base.

2: a way to transport logs, sticks, and leafs with ease.

3: a way to fish.

4: a way to repair items.

5: light posts.

6: electricity (like a way for the player to attempt contacting the surface)

B: Bugs

1: fixing hit boxes. (on trees, animals, the ground, rocks, mountains, water, etc)

2: fixing landscape as sometimes its impossible to move.

thank you to whomever reads all of my suggestions and found bugs. let me know if there's any problems with my suggestions or if you would like more explanation for the bugs.

Пытаемся поиграть с другом в кооп, но при подключении выдаёт Ошибка подключения. Он с РФ, я с Украины. У него куплен ключ в EA APP, у меня игра в стиме. Какие уже танцы с бубном не пробовали: использовали радмин, хамачи, впн, подключались во время игры, подключались через друзей, через быструю игру, во время игры и так далее. Ничего из вышеперечисленного не работает, в любом случае выдаёт ошибку. Как же всё таки поиграть? Прав ли я в том, что проблема в его регионе? Возможно ли это пофиксить, или кооп невозможен?

I just few days ago change my rating of the game to "not recommended" after 240h of playing this game.

all things working for me.. no problem at all.. i can build.. working snap build
all pipelines working.. so you must do something wrong yourself.. dont blame it on the game sir..

and fixes coming.. you can rean all things thay post.. you can go to discord and talk to devs if you have problems... report bugs if you find something.. no report = no fixes.. simple :P

I bought this game November 2022. So played 240h, when this game work somehow correctly.

so the game not working correctly now ? working alot better now then before. and next update will be awsome.. vehicles changes :D just give them time.. making games and updates take time =)

I don't think bandit integration would require any major changes to combat, items or player stats.

Bandits, if I am correct to assume will be an outlier or rarity. Melee weapons might only entail extra damage and reach. Nothing too special about that. Also I wouldn't expect bandits to be working harmoniously with zombies, but rather being opportunistic combatants against them and the player.

Ranged bandits would require a little finesse. As long as they don't give them turret-level targeting it should be threatening but manageable. I would envision them as being much more perceptive than zombies, but perhaps not impervious to player stealth.

i think it would follow naturally that bandits of any variety won't be spawning in large numbers or with level 6 gear in the early game or in starting biomes. You might have fringe encounters with pipe-rifle wielding bandits, but won't be harassed by a lvl 6 M60 bandit unless you tread too deeply in bandit hotspots or POI's.

Personally I would favor a more organic and random approach for spawning. Bandits contesting airdrops might be a fitting style of implementation for the moment.

There might have been a century or two of experiences and insights that made the decision "so quick and easy" for him.

Not saying you, but a lot of Verso-naysayers try to simplify Verso's logic as someone who is nothing more than nihilistically suicidal for no better reason than just not wanting to live.

The entire motivation for Verso's "suicidal tendencies" is Verso's belief that all the grief and conflict stems from his existence (and it kind of does, doesn't it). Verso's reasoning is that if he dies, then the conflicts will resolve. Unfortunately, Aline made Verso immortal (probably something to do with not wanting him to die (for reasons unintelligible Verso-naysayers)).

And (conveniently) these people will say that Verso is selfishly motivated, but that requires discounting who Verso is: is it selfish to die in a fire saving someone else? (who did that?)

Aline painted painted Verso to "stave of her grief" of real Verso being dead in every way the same that she could do: too bad for Aline, then, that Verso was more altruistic than selfish.

That's exactly right. This world is the original Verso's. His family became distraught and risked their own lives fighting over his memory while allowing the paintees to suffer through it. God this game is so dark :(

i just hope they kinda fix the jump-areas somewhat. In LN1, they were already a pain in the butt and even in LN2. Next to this, those jumps are each in the first levels (for the most part) of said games so i really really hope they make them "somewhat" easier - again, keep the controls in mind.
