...so I was trying to install some texture mods and the texmod application messed up the game. I decided to reinstall everything after uninstalling and deleting everything. Now I get error code 53

ive tried everything ex. the live scan for mcaffee and i dont have that. I tried my other avast antivirus but nothing worked. I want to play this game so bad please help.

Every time I try to run the game, I get the message about how error 53 is preventing me from playing. How do I fix this?

I haven't played Bo2 in a long time, and i just recently installed it again. But i can't start the game, it just says "Completing Installation.." and then just goes to "The Steam servers are too busy to handle your request for Black Ops 2 Multiplayer". I've already verified my game files, and i don't know what else to do.

Edit: I FIXED IT, Just cleared the download cache from the download menu in the steam options!

Have the same problem with Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas! I know its probably the compatibility but i did try to find the right capability in compatability menu..I need help fixing this problem for win10 and future purchases of older titles

Every time I try I launch the game, I get a "Completing installation" window that gets to 100% then fails with error code 53. Re-downloading doesn't help, restarting everything doesn't help, and

please help i can't open darksiders because i am having the failed to start error.

and give me the error code. It may be possible that my computer crashed (for other reasons) after installing but before playing the game (in both cases) .
