same here on both pcs in my house... we played fine last weekend but this week same type of crashing with the same error message.

so I was originally gonna post about missing text for when you died while on the mission to stop the protesters (I thought it'd be funny to drown) however when tabing out and then entering the game again it seems to no longer let you continue (if the missing text was supposed to let you continue) I just see the dead body floating in the water.

The affliction you are thinking of is "Confusion".
This causes the zeds to fight each other.

"Infected" is a Medic exclusive and does the exact same thing as "Confusion", but just renamed for "exclusivity".

The "Toxic" affliction causes DOT Bio damage.
(Medics Grenades)

: Confusion is an affliction "utility" status effect, while "Toxic" is an actual DOT effect.
(Lure, and Confusion Grenades on the G33).

Confusion makes Zeds fight eachother, but the medic grenade upgrade specifically lists ":infected" as applying bio DOT to others around it, not at all like confusion.

Ah thx for the clarification. I see what you mean now. It does seem weird that those two are so similar. I do agree they should just be combined,

the game always reset my entire settings (like video res, keybinds, etc.) after uninstalling the game. unlike other games (e.g: left 4 dead 2), all the setting stays from cloud save I think. does this game not have one?
