Yeah the frame rate is hot dookie for me. It's playable but looks choppy and seems to get worse for a few seconds after saving.

The alternatives are being debated. But your alternative is worse than the current mechanic. If you or anyone else can present a mechanic that doesn't make a bigger problem, go for it. But what you proposed is so much worse.

And the real issue is that the game is seeing a massive influx of new players. That's the real issue, that they haven't played enough to learn what not to do. Notice that the complaints about bad base design tamper off outside of free weekends and sale dates.

What happens in your scenario where noobs take up all the engineer slots and no one else can build? Do think think that's going to go well?

As above says a Wanderers Amulet or when you get to the village of Changan and beyond start Merchant farming for a Hallowed Helm.
