How Big is Your Block-List?

Other people disagree with you on that, considering how long some of these posts are (which is another good reason to block someone. Don't want to be friends but just want scrolling to be easier? Block someone and use the show button to read their posts.
This doesn't work if you're using blocking for things that you don't want to read, but not everyone is going to use the feature the same way ...and they shouldn't have to either.

There's also the fact that no one else jams all of their responses to several different posts, into one reply post, so why should I?

Restraining orders (and even worse """temporary""" restraining orders, which can still last for years if the court is misused - which basically makes them - not "permanent" but also not "temporary" (non-permanent restraining orders that aren't temporary expire after a few years, iirc)) are sometimes abused for exactly this reason, but if two friends are talking in a library and someone with a restraining order walks in and demands that the other leaves - especially if that restraining order holding person has never been to that library or area, there's a good chance that the person with the restraining is the one who is in the wrong and courts will sometimes take this position (that restraining orders are not meant to be used in this way) too.

There's also some pretty clear other implications that come from your statement, particularly due to the parts where you "hope" that people online have to interact with the police in the future.

Which can be misused but based on that post, you don't seem to have a problem with that, both of which are pretty gross.
