I never understood this kind of fanboyism. Nobody wants the game to be bad, it just looks that way. The same people who were calling out DoW 3 are the same people calling out DoW 4.

When you have a new installment being developed by people who abandoned their last game, while making it look similar to DoW 3 which was an utter abortion of a game, that's more than enough to cast doubt. On top of that having yootoobers simultaneously come out with virtually the same titles and script unanimously praising the game is enough to raise anyones sense of skepticism.

Will the game be good? Maybe, I hope so. But with DoW's track record of making fundamentally different games and straight up bad ones I don't have much confidence.

This. Enough with the mindless fanboyism just cos some dude PO'd you in the forums. They will get respect if it is due when the game comes out. After way this series been treated, that is the only logical course of action. Fool me once...

All this "oh the interview looked encouraging" thats marketing guys, they'll say anything for that ish, cos they want you to give them your money. They're not your friends. They're not heroes. They're not saviour for a beleaguered franchise that finally has a good head steering it. They're a company, they make money, that's their only goal here.

I played BL1 nearly 20 years ago, when it came out and i can't remember what that was? What were the important decisions you could make? Or are people only talking about the missing attributes?

The first game is an Action Adventure with light RPG elements.
What you will notice is that character creation does give you the ability to change various stats ie. Attributes, abilities and disciplines. Everything is affected by it, your choice in clan, backstory, etc..

Overall it is simplistic, but you have to remember that it released back in 2004... the point being that it is a game that is over 20 years old...


While the game have a cult status, it was not a truly epic game for me, it was an above avarage game and had good immersion... It was very hyped, got decent reviews (it was an 8 on avarage) but had massive issues at launch.


Still.. it had more RPG elements than this modern game, that is basically a visual novel with some combat slapped in between.

My game keeps crashing during havoc missions and I never get a reconnect option ever.
