If you would take your time and read the system requirements for this game, you will notice it has been made for Windows XP in mind. I take a wild guess and say you are probably using Windows 10 / 11 to run this game, which is officially not supported. You can't expect developers to update a game to make it work for every future Windows operating system Microsoft puts out.

Playing on PC often means tinkering with games, especially if they are decades old, because there are hundreds of different hardware and software combinations out there to run a game. If this is too much hassle for you, I would recommend just playing on a console.

Another DUMB answer: ill explain ALL the ways you are wrong (dont worry, i'll use small words and no pictures):

1- i DID read the requirements, but they are MOSTLY are irrelevant, i play games on these computers from EVERY age of gaming, and EVERY OS
2- yes, OFFICIALLY, its not supported, BUT IF YOU READ (which you dont, do you? do you? do you think of what you read before writing? do you? huh? you dont, be honest with yourself for once, you dont), there IS a message from the publisher offering help if you contact them direclty WHICH I DID, AND THEY DIDNT KEEP THEIR WORD (read this one a few times before eating the keyboard)
3- on your "tinkering" point lays the most important aspect making this game a scam BECASUE:
3.1 i have FAR older games which DONT require tinkering on install, most of them with no emulators needed, no comaptibility adjustments, no 3rd party software, NOTHING, so age is not an excuse, BUT i could forgive that one (I told you to read point 2 again, did you? did you get it? DO. YOU. UNDERSTAAAAAAAAND. THE. WOOOOOOODRSSSSS. YOU REEEEEAD??????
3.2 having a game which has a problems on install, A PUBLISHER faces a few OPTIONS A- to keep supporting it (they dont) B- to help when needed (they dont) C- to delist the game (they didnt) C- to lower the price to something representative of its age, quality and their involvement with the continuous working of their product (on that last point, i would say free or less than a dollar). INSTEAD THEY CHOSE to COUNT on that ill conceived (elitist really) notion that "pLaYInG on PC mEaNs tINkeRInG" to keep making money from a BAD AND ABADONED product.

Look, i get it, you are part of a long tradition of being bad consumers, its not your fault, but i hope you finally show an ounce of intellectual decency and allow yourself to learn that you are COMPLETELY wrong.... please be better

I'm getting the same / extremely similar error as LaVitre (The one posted in the comments) after initializing VR on a dedicated server. This is what mine looks like.

The game ran last time I opened it but I don't know if there is stability for a play-through.

После обновления?
это было всегда, то появлялось, то исчезало, появилось без причины абсолютно сегодня утром

У меня после обновления от 15 августа и звук лагает, и движения игроков и прицела живут своею жизнью, и "VAK не может проверить игровую сессию, выкидывая из каток. Хотя, играю всегда честно.
