Why wont my game work,and how do i fix it?

I bought the games from Humble Bundle (2013), and donloaded mirror's edge first. When I started the game it said that failed to start and "(error code 53)". That happened on dead space too.

Hey there ! I recently downloaded the game onto my Surface Pro 3 (Windows 10). However, whenever I start the game, it shows 'Completing Installation' and then around 99% I get the error which states

. I have verified the game cache however now it does finishing installing without the Error Code 53. Is there a way to fix this? Should I reinstall steam?

Okay so what is happening is that i bought Aoe2 HD and i am unable to complete the installation of the game because "The steam servers are too busy to handle your request - Error code 53"
