It’s a singleplayer and co-op game — people are free to play however they enjoy it. No one’s forcing you to use mods, and if you don’t want to, that’s totally fine. But calling for others to be banned just because they play differently doesn’t make sense.

That’s the beauty of gaming: you can tailor the experience to what’s fun for you. Some people like to explore with mods, some don’t — both are valid.

IMO, they design it likes this to try and make you play through the game multiple times... it's a poor system and thankfully I could care less these days about them trophies cause they mean nothing... especially since these days everyone just follows guides and backup their saves.

If some of the weapons/aspects feel underpowered, consider switching from the Death arcana to Strength.

It really changes up the overall feel of a ton of the weapons, some to the degree where you might think the weapon was balanced around Strength to begin with.

Don't worry about not having a Death Defiance, trust in the damage reduction of Strength, it's stronger than you'd think, even after the (probably justified) nerfs.

I have played through the game "completely" 3 times. Once before security was added, once when hydroplant was added and continued the save when reactors was added, and lastly on launch.

The reason I was able to replay the game from the beginning is because it was fun and I had those breaks between the updates but also because I wanted to experience new content that might have been added earlier.

It is very obvious to me that the quality of the game declined over time as more updates came out.

Office is fun honeymoon phase, speed bump in manufacturing as you encounter new enemies but doesn't hamper the enjoyment too much, cascade labs being the most enjoyable for me atleast, security being a fun little "haha what if we focused on the scary aspect of the game" very short and sweet.

Game starts falling off heavily at Hydroplant with certain trouble enemies and weapon/gear progression dropping hard and not getting any better later and you start to realize that even with every sector getting new resources the game starts becoming more grindy, otherwise hydroplant just isnt super interesting and has less exploration.

Reactors really kicks off to the game just being a pure slog to play where you look to cheese every enemy, zones from here on start being incredibly linear as well and overall while the environments look nice it wasn't very enjoyable for me.

Residences really makes obvious how the quality of the game has been dropping with bad writing imo, samey exploration, and very little progression in such a small zone that ends the game with "parkour" and a final "boss" that REQUIRES you to use ranged weapons which are some of the worst weapons in the game due to resource consumption.

Don't get me wrong I love this game; really enjoy it, and think it deserves its positive reviews. Only reason i'm not still playing right now is because i'm waiting for grid snapping to come to the rest of the building system.

Game is quite literally the most enjoyable in the 1st half even after the honeymoon phase but your mileage may vary.

ALSO please keep in mind early access supporters were able to buy the game for $20 instead of the now $35. I'd say I got my moneys worth but knowing everything now I don't think i'd spend the $35 for it.

P.S. For a game that has "anomalies" theres honestly not very many of them

TL:DR as a long time player I think positive reviews are deserved but I wouldn't pay $35 for it wait until it's on sale for $20.

It's not something you can "do in two minutes", and you claiming it is while you obviously just have windows 11 which enables it by default is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ aggravating. It's likely going to be MUCH more involved than that for anyone on windows 10 who doesn't already have a GPT style partition.

it's not that simple. Windows 11 has a bunch of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ pointless requirements for your motherboard, which can make even high end gaming motherboards from less than a decade ago incompatible. Just stop with your ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

Really? The price seems reasonable to me, I feel that's about the standard for song DLC in games like this, like Rock Band. Especially as they have to license the music and create the custom graphics for them, which is probably harder money-wise for an indie company than a big one like Harmonix or Konami.

I don't really understand the issue with there being 20 DLC, the games 6 months old, that's less than one batch a month! Honestly, my complaint would be the opposite, I do wish there was more DLC. I'm intrigued to see what collabs the future will bring. But with the amount of great workshop stuff being produced, I'm okay with waiting.
