Honestly, just get used to using slow poison. Slow poison prevents you to receive further poisons and deseases while it's active (it doesn't do much if you're already afflicted, so it's preemptive). There is a group version of the spell.


Slow poison and death ward will let your forget about 90% of ability damages and drain.

I can find no current info on mines, most videos for this game are a year or more older and out of date, so it's likely I just don't know what I'm doing.

Everything I look at in the cave (except the egg sacks) has the "need better tools" or "needs pickaxe" message, the breakable walls, the nodes, ect. Even with my large stone pick i see that message and am not given the ability to break them.

managed to get a little more iron made to make the carpenter tool for boards and such, so i can try to upgrade the workshop but the whole process has ground my progress to a halt, nothing new can be built at this point,

What's worse is I had to fire my blacksmith, he was insane. I made some jobs for him (hammer head for better iron working, knife blade for carpenter tool and of course pickaxe head) but he would take any of the blooms made and just put them in there to forge even though i had no jobs that called for 1 bloom. he would just keep feeding it coal all day to keep one hot, either blowing through tons of coal or he would end his day and waste the bloom.
So now I do all my own smithing as they cannot be trusted with this extremely important and limited resource.
This part of the game definitely needs a lot of work and it's so critical to progression
