Balance needs to exist in order for competition to be fair. If you try and balance for lower skilled players, you are trying to guess at what is and isn't going to work right. For instance, as mentioned above, a lot of new players just don't go do gens when playing as survivor.

Realistically, you CANNOT balance around the idea that some people won't do the gens, because if you do then you will make the people who do go do gens blatantly overpowered.

This is simple game theory.

I am not saying we should balance based on the insanely good, those who are just plain talented, but we should balance around the top 10% (25% if you really want to loosen up) of players.

You can’t balance this game around super new or super inefficient players. Or people who refuse to actually learn the game — learning how to counter things, how abilities work, how to dodge them, what resources they actually have on the map and how to use them.

Efficiency is what wins rounds. The players who understand the mechanics, know how to move, and use their tools properly will capitalize on anyone being inefficient. That’s just how it works.

People who refuse to learn and stay stuck in their “everything’s unfair” mindset can play however they want. That’s fair, it’s legit. If they enjoy spending 60 seconds sneaking around the map or crouching behind rocks: go for it. Or killers who chase a structure 20 times without learning how to actually play it… fine.

But in that situation, you can’t expect to win

There will always be people who refuse to learn — especially in DBD, there are tons — stuck forever in their “but.. but.. this is not fair” mindset.

But honestly, those people should be the absolute last ones you listen to when it comes to balance discussions.

You are leaving out way too many details. What car are you driving? What are you hauling? How did you configure your game on this save? All of these things matter actually.

i joined my friend on infinite, they hosted, they said weight doesnt effect vehicle, it was the truck with the flatbed, had a 3l diesel turbo, was hauling a bit of everything in the bed, brakes/tires and engine was in top condition with all liquids filled. what was weird was host could drive it fine but i couldn't? and some of the items stuck to the outside of the vehicle kept teleporting above the vehicles on my screen and falling through the map repeatedly until we drove away. can only get it to move on flat roads or downhill (easier) by turning left to right full steering lock and once it started moving it felt like the brakes were slightly on, thought it was my keybord so tried controller but no difference, even tried running in direct x11 and 12 but no difference, also tried changing from auto to manual but still no luck, sometimes through trying it all pressing W made the vehicle reverse and when that happened pressing S would make it go forwards fine?! if you ask me it feels like the S (reverse) button is being like 25% on constantly when pressing W (forwards) so idk?
