why does the game feels slow motion even though the fps and ping is fine

Im getting low frames 15-30fps all the time even in optimized worlds. im not even bottle necked. is there anything that could be causing this?

My favourite game of all time is Shinobi III. I replay it every year without fail and I replayed it about 3 weeks ago today before I realised this had a demo. What I played of the demo feels like an evolution on that. Shinobi III didn't have action game combos but very few action games of the time had anything complex, even less people had the 6 button controllers that let you play melee only if you wanted to. Regardless, I remember my friends in the 90s complaining that Shinobi III was too different from Revenge of Shinobi and it was awful because they couldn't be bothered with the pacing changing or the second stage being a running start. Flabbergasted that Joe had a sprint and a dive kick they wanted you to use.

It's honestly the same regardless of generation. Some people can't handle change and will whine as if they were personally slighted no matter what this game came out as. These devs clearly wanted to mix what people liked from the PS2 games with aspects of the original 3 and popular modern conventions and calling it a game that "flows like molasses" is objectively wrong, the pacing is way faster than RoS they just have more arenas. Shinobi III had arenas here and there too btw and most levels were just straight runs to the right. This feels a lot more like Vanillaware's Oboro Muramasa which isn't really Metroidvania but it has aspects of it and that's fine. There's games like The Messenger or Vengeful Guardian: Moonrider if you want that really arcadey hardcore feel. The people complaining about functions shouldn't care about what brand is on the label anyway.

P.S, Comparing this to Dead Cells shows you haven't played either. I think at this point clown farming is a full-time job for some people and they probably have very active twitter accounts too.

That reminds me I have time to beat Moonrider before this game comes out. I forgot I'd actually bought it.

You have to rush towards physicians the moment you can as that's about the point staying above 1 health becomes very hard without them.

So not really caring for the TG's Harvest Creation after messing around with it all day.

Instead of using the existing production/crafting system the creator made their own production/crafting system.

You have to craft a tree, throw the tree on the ground then wait for the tree to grow.
If you miss some UNSPECIFIED time window the trees just die and disappear.

I hear you although I've never played the mod myself but every video review I've seen on it gives it high marks. I can't really comment on it but I know veer really likes it as far as i can remember.

It literally pops up a warning from Onedrive that the games .exe file is downloading files.
It is reproduceable.
OP is 100% right. Same ♥♥♥♥ happened to me when I installed the game and started it.
Game is malware and should be removed from Steam.

Edit: So even without Onedrive in the picture the game is straight up malware. It plows through your Documents folder. This is why it triggers Onedrive it seems. On newer windows installs Documents folder is linked directly to Onedrive. So cutting out Onedrive means that the game will still go through your entire Documents folder and does god knows what with the content. The only difference is that when it's all local you don't get a popup about it happening.
For those asking for proof. You can literally see it in action on your own computer by using a tool that shows file activities in real time. Set a filter for the .exe file and you will see that it goes through all your documents, bookmarks, photos.. this is absolutely not cool at all.
