action-adventure games focused on nonlinear exploration and guided progression, requiring players to acquire key items, abilities, or tools to access previously unreachable areas.

by definition the game focuses on backtracking as its core concept

I'm well aware of what metroidvania is.
And yes, despite not being tagged as metroidvania, they are of the metroidvania genre.
Do many people not know that tags (or the lack thereof) are not always reliable?

I would personally prefer if the Batman Beyond was either its own universe and the original Batman has become myth/legend at this point.

That or ignore SSKTJL and have Arkham Knight was the last canon story in the Arkham universe.

There isn't a police system in the game. The PIDF is a private military company aka a mercenary group being payed to stand in for a police system. They aren't upholding the law. They are proving to their clients that they are fulfilling outlined defense contracts.

There are examples in history, and currently in underdeveloped regions that shows PMCs are massively dangerous. The reason they are a PMC instead of being the police or military is there ether is no government or they don't recognize the established government which means they only answer to their own hierarchy. If they mess up a contract their group doesn't get a payday, but it is their boss who will punish them by their own rule book. As they are funded by other groups they often don't know the whole scenario so things like the ethical point to stop might be unclear or even unwanted. Not knowing the full moral scope of the situation is even worse for people who prioritize defense. Take this game for example we just want some unique pals from a special area which seems to have an infinite amount of pals, but they are there to protect this area so we are monsters to their clients and a threat to their pocketbook. Could similar things happen in real life? What if a PMC was tasked with guarding a river that served as a border, but was also a major source of food for nearby villagers. In that scenario where is the line drawn?

I will admit i kind of liked hardline. It was just dumb fun like poster said above.

My microphone works perfectly fine everywhere else but as soon I use it for Peak it's static and unbearable for my group, I want to be able to use it for the proximity chat because it makes the game more fun. Does anyone know how to fix it?
