This is something that I've noticed more and more over the years compared to when I was younger. These days, hardly ANY parents seem to give a crap what games their kids are playing. Call of Duty has been 18+ for as long as I can remember. GTA5 is out now on all platforms and I know there's loads of underage people playing both 24/7. A lot of the time, kids manage to get games that they are underage for by just convincing a parent that it is just a little bit of shooting to buy it for them. Other times, they buy it on places like Steam (where all you have to do is lie about your age) and they have the game downloading and ready to play.

Now I'm not going to lie, I did play games I was underage for when I was younger. However, we are talking about games years ago where graphics were not as good and stuff was more pixaleted you couldn't really see blood and violence that clearly. These days, you can have first person sex with someone in GTA5 in 1080p resolution on a games console... how many kids are going to be exposed to this? People are always going on about kids should be using and learning technology more than ever... by being able to access whatever they want?

I was in GAME a few weeks ago (GAME is the UK equivalent to Gamestop) and there was this little 10 year old kid trying to get his mum to buy GTA5 for him. His mum took the game and looked at the back of it saying "uh, this is an 18+, you are way too young for this." So she took it to the counter and asked them what exactly was in the game for her 10 year old son, the staff's response was "Oh, it's really just a bit of shooting, the 18+ mark is just there because there are guns in the game, the gun fights in it aren't any worse than what you'd see in James Bond". She then bought the game, gave it to her son (didn't even say thanks), she said "see you later" and he just ran out the store (presumably to go home).

Another story I have is me watching a little kid (say 11?) trying to get his parent to buy Call of Duty for him, he just kept on going "but all my friends have it!" and a load of other crap, eventually she gave in and just bought it for him and told him not to annoy her anymore about it.

It's crap like the above which makes stuff even worse. The staff member in the store KNEW exactly what was in the game (really? how could you not work in a video game shop and not know what GTA5 is?), yet he lied and said it was just a bit of shooting just so he could get a sale. As for the other story, she just gave in to keep her kid happy.

In the UK from I understand, it is only illegal when you sell a game to someone who is underage. It is not illegal for the parent to buy the game, and then give it to the kid right in front of the store worker. I am not talking about playing an 18+ game when you are 17, I am on about being say 10 (or even younger) and playing something like GTA5. Now really? At that age, do you really need to be seeing sex, drugs, hardcore gore, swearing and god knows what else at that age? When I was 10, I was playing with Lego and reading Harry Potter...

Today, it's so easy to be able to buy a game if you're underage. Let's take Steam, Xbox Live or PSN. If you're underage and no bank card, don't worry! You can just go get a game credit card in-store you can buy with cash. Then you take it home, activate it, buy the game you want, lie about your age and purchase! It's pretty much a given that publishers + the government don't care what goes into games, just so long as they make money. If a game is censored in a country because it has content that is considered exceptionally bad, people will react negatively to that than positively (I am on about under 18s playing the banned content, not over 18s). Back in my day, you had to convince someone to buy the game for you, I remember wanting to get San Andreas as everyone in school had it, but my parents weren't having any of it. Still it was for the better.

I know there are parents out there that DO care what their kids are playing. All the tools and settings are there to restrict kids from being able to access and play the games, but a lot of parents these days seem to think it is okay for kids to be exposed to all of that.

Thoughts anyone?

Spawns (Spawn locations/distance from player) (HOE)

Specifically in HOE.

I am not sure what it is, but the changes to spawn rates and timing in HOE compared to Hard is crazy wack.

Like one moment the spawns are fine, but the next I am having them spawn practically on-top of me from behind as I turn my back.
(They seem to only allow spawning if back is turned, so if they are able to spawn they WILL spawn, even if it is within 5m of the player).

(It feels like they spawn way too close if a new slot is available to fill.)
(Not all enemies spawn at once, and fill a slot, so once a slot opens they fill in from the "reserve" and spawn as close to the player as possible.)
(This can be very annoying, especially for Perks such as the Sharpshooter who needs distance to be most effective.)

This mainly happens around tight corners when trying to train a horde.
(Even in large maps)
It gets very annoying when you have a train going, and you turn around to look at your horde, only to turn back face hitting face into a pack of Gorefests, or bloats, etc.

And given how collision works, you are pretty much dead unless you can pop an active to get out, or have impact nades, or some other instant effect.
(Especially in Multiplayer given how quickly a player can down)

This could be a minor skill issue admittedly, but the amount of times it happens almost becomes unbearably annoying.

At the very least in KF2 you had some breathing room between spawns so they were not on-top of you the moment they spawned (Enraged movement speed is crazy high), but here given how spawns are setup and occur you pretty much have no time to properly react if not always paying attention.

It would not be so bad if the player could out pace them effectively, however given the vast differences between perk movement speed balance, other classes are better than others when this moment occurs.

Even if not having movement speed Perks like the Ninja do not need to worry about these types of Spawn as much because they have an immediate response, however here it is just annoying for any non melee class.

Just some spawn tweaking would be appreciated, if not at the very least please consider those new (Rapid) spawning enemies to have a sound when they spawn, as many times they are quiet.
(Given HOE many spawns are happening all at once, if there was a way to prioritize "closer" enemy spawns that would be neat also.)

To conclude,

As a minor annoyance and nothing super important but admittedly something of preference.
The minimum spawn distance on HOE could be increased a bit.
Even by a few m would be greatly appreciated.
