sad to hear, but cutscenes are skippable, there are exceptions, but u can skip most of them (at least those that inbetween mission)

My problem with spears is that they inherently favor standing still a lot. I know, it fits the theme, but still kinda boring.
Also you can grab Battering Ram as a charge skill. Although spears better synergise with heavy armor, again, due to standing still, so it will only have 2 range in heavy.

Its all about speed, basically. DEX weapons traditionally are lite quicksters that can sneak in cheap damage and then dodging before being hit.
Another answer is that DEX weapons traditionally favor one-handed builds, in opposition to STR's two-handing: since two-handing provides basically no difference but motion values and stance damage (which DEX weapons don't tend to be known for) - you are basically better off one-handing dex weapons majority of the time.
Critical attacks and Ashes of War also use one handed damage as the basis for their calculations. Its a small thing, but it adds up.

In Elden Ring specifically DEX also favors powerstancing: its basically One-Handing Squared, so neither of your weapons lose DPS unlike something like going double Heavy Axes.

So two handing something like a twinblade is bad? Also, doesn't powerstancing greatly reduce the amount of status that is applied?

I didn't even know there was a demo. I bought the game almost instantly when i saw it :D

it keeps getting worst every update and the DEVELOPERS dont give a f with over 560h in i just stopped playing 2 weeks ago.... and i would not replay it unless it gets fixed...

The "demo" is the stable build for the game. Ramjet Studio launched their game as a free "demo" to let us try out Vein while they are working on the alpha build. The experimental build is updated more often but it is unstable and contains more and newer bugs.

She can't be suppressed. Like all the lame immune mercs (and Kirsten), you just have to beat on her with raw attack stats until the her owner has time to summon a new one. It's the most boring play style and has turned this game into a total grind.

Not sure if tedious immunity or broken abilities is worse. Thanks, devs, for not giving us the choice of "fun and fair".
