If you dont save every 3-5 min you wont be able to advance in this game, since it bugges out and quits to desktop every few minutes of play, and no bug report to show for it, game just shuts down.

I can't seem to be able to navigate the backpack menu when first playing. I see the icon at the bottom of the menu to let me equip it, but nothing lets me. Am I supposed to be able to use the analog sticks to select it? I don't want to just admit defeat and use a keyboard and mouse.

Melee/Ranged weapon plus true pets isn't supported very well. Gear and devotions are usually for one or the other. You can play hybrid builds, just don't expect to beat the most challenging content.

Most true pet builds will use ranged caster skills that buff pets, apply resist reduction or have some other buff/debuff. For example, a skeleton Defiler with Black Water Cocktail or Bone Harvest is a lot of fun. Cabalist pets plus Doom Bolt is another fun one.

Player scaled pets work with player skills. There are lots of these. I like my Nightblade running around with my Nemesis kitty cat. Maybe not S-tier, but so what.
