The game is harder/easier depending on what party you have, thats my take anyway. So maybe you just picked a really bad party.

You decide the order when you pick the cards, you wont know the order of the enemies, thats why you have to be flexible.

I generally try keep the initative similar on my units each turn.
Like I do a fast turn where everyone goes early, then Il do a slow turn sometimes where everyone goes late. Playing like this you can generally predict if your going before or after the monsters. Some have like real fast moves but thats nothing you can do about.

I have clear most(around 20) quests on normal, maybe try my party. Blink blade, Banner spear, Geminite. Its a fairly easy to play team, without to many summons or mechanics.

Well, I guess not even being able to log in should be less frustrating than attempting to play with a bunch of things not working... i even tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game... no luck. Oh well. I have other distractions available but Absinthe - Green Fairies? I was curious about this set

"Lab Rats + Shrines + Vaults + 2x Overwork" seems to be the engine that keeps on breaking. Works with every king I've tried. Add some population boosting from Farms and 2x Populate, and it doesn't just break scaling, it breaks the entire game.

My screencap is stopped at Year 99 because I'd been struggling to play more than 5 or so years without the engine simply stopping and forcing me to save and quit. Something about having 9066 rats on a single tile, at level 3+1142. In my save, I'm working at a glacial pace to replace the Forest and Boars with two more Shrines.

E+21 health (without Boars).
E+26 damage (ditto).

On your next run add 1 lab rat for every shrine, and connect them in an unbroken series.
