I sadly have to agree here, all of those things are usually user generated problems and not bugs in the game or from the server.

That passive bug stuff aside which seems to affect many players
(I dont have that, maybe it hase something to do with having the arbites dlc?)
Freezes, Constant Disconnection Issues, and even Sound Cues missing (like completely gone or to silent?) are in fact a problem on your computers side.
Freezes especially I have had never occur even once, and I play since launch, and have changed the Hardware of my PC 3-4 Times. This is obviously a problem of your hardware, your configuration or something else.

Disconnects, while they can happen, which they usually happen like once every fullmoon, if happening consequently everytime you play and also several times, are an Indicator that the problem also lies with your system; Maybe your connection is bad, maybe the stability is bad or something else; there are many things that can go wrong on your side, and without additional infos I cant pinpoint to whats causing it for you.

No Backfill in Lobbies while playing?
Yeah, also a you-problem. Dont start lobbies on maps that expire in 3 Minutes from the Missionboard. Also keep in mind, that mods like Disconnect and Reconnect are a thing, and people will just leave mid-loading into a mission, because they dont wanna join running missions where the probability of a wipe is already pretty high; and most of the time there is a good reason someone left, other than them disconnecting and being unable to reconnect in time... (Hint: It maybe because of you or the way you are playing)
When the mission is off the board, you will most likely not get anyone joining you, unless you luck out on Quickplay-Stans.

But I guess it is so much easier to blame the game, the servers or the devs instead of taking the time to investigate and troubleshoot your problems until you solve them.

As much as I am of the handyman tribe, the onus of dealing with the problems that affect user experience is on the developer. Blaming the game is the correct strategy as a consumer, unless you forgot where you sit on the power balance.

They wanted to sell the game with cloud servers as the basic entryway to get into the game and that leads to networking problems. Sometimes the route to a server is bad - you cannot reasonably fix this on your own, and the day these servers no longer become available you'll indeed have zero recourse to getting this game to work at all.

You are talking about the connnectivity-Issues many Player seem to report right?
Sure, the Servers might be a bit sucky, since Amazon Hosts them (I believe?), and sometimes you actually cant do anything to change your connection;
But usually its the case that people like to complain about everything, including disconnects, while having done absolutely nothing to try and solve them.
In the distant past, like 2 Years ago or so, I changed my ISP and had connection Issues up the wazoo, but the Problem was entirely on my side and after digging around I found the Issue and a solution. In my case it was stability problems with the Line between my Condo and the Main-Internet-Junction in my House.
I guess it boils down to "If you really want to solve the Problem, you usually can, even if its annoying"
You are correct, sometimes people just are in a bad situation they cant change due to personal circumstances. And in some cases you definitely can and should voice your complaints to the devs.
But this dude right here is just ranting, and provides a list of complaints, where most of them can be solved one way or another.
I guess you can say I assumed that OP didnt try to fix his problems, but that was how I read it, I guess.

Just got this recently and noticed it's REALLY wearing a strong Total Annihilation influence.

Just offhand:

You're a robot (suit) with combat capability that teleports in alone to build a base.

Basic energy generation is solar and wind followed by geothermal.

There are energy and 'mass' storage you build. In fact the basic resource system is very similar with metal patches and extractors and even metal makers.

Radar works the same.

A fair number of tower designs have some similarity in appearance.


None of this is meant as a criticism of course, it's not really the same game at all. But it definitely feels like the germ of the design was someone thinking about Total Annihilation but where you more directly control the Commander, which is cool.

I love that there are some bug fixes already and that you're working so hard on the game. Found some new, really annoying and somehow game breaking bugs. So first, my employes on the food stands sometimes don't serve the guests. Then, guests stand everywhere veeery long. After buying a ticket sometimes I have like 3 to 4 guests bugged over each other because no one moves away. Then when they finally move, they stand between entrance and change room for a while. And even when they want to leave the change room they stand a while in the door. Even after they bough food, they just...stand. And the next one doesn't come to the front. Also I had like around a dozen visitors bugged in one of the inflatable slides. I needed to push them all out. It was like they multiplied cuz from outside it looked like 2 or 3 got stucked but they kept coming out xDD So,.. since they are stuck everywhere and stand around... there is not really a fluctuation on the food stands, they're not really using pools and slides...cuz they prefer to stand and stare into nothingnes xD So, for today I am not really having fun playing. But I come back the next days to see if they start walking around again hihi. (love the game <3)

Nothing has stopped me from crushing chaos like I was back in the 00s.
