Terribly sorry, but, that is just BS. Even if pre-orders didn't exist, Starfield still would have been the same (decent) game. And if you think people are going to magically stop pre-ordering, you are deluding yourself.

I disagree. I think that without Pre-Ordering, a game like SF would have been a total flop (which arguable it is now anyway). This is because SF is a game that depended heavily on marketing, pre-ordering and player perceptions prior to release. It's not a game that could stand on its own merits like other titles, because let's face it, it's just not a very good game.

It was all about advertising, promo videos, shill reviewers, Todd doing his whole evangelical thing and so on. It was a triumph of false advertising and without the ability to pre-order it would have really struggled. However, it did make very good sales during the first month or so due to riding the hype wave as players had such high expectations. What we see now with the negative reviews and the low player count, is what SF actually is, when the hype, pre-ordering and excellent marketing is removed from the equation. Not a terrible game, but a very forgettable and mediocre one.

So you could say that SF is the predictable result of the pre-ordering trend. Now, will we ever be able to end pre-ordering? No, and Oak is probably right about that. However, we can as individuals decide not to participate and the more of us who do that, the greater our impact.

I've only encountered a radio tower once so far, but if there were more towers, being able to see the terrain from up high would be a great way to orient yourself better. So maybe an easier difficulty would have more towers.

Does it work as well as LC1 which had peak local multiplayer? Can there be several save slots and each person can choose one and level up separately and everyone gets their own currency no matter who picks it up?

Or did they gimp local in the hopes more people will buy extra online copies for these features?

Testing will only got you like 1 hour tops, the first area sucks already if you're below 4070

I honestly do not like the low effort spam clicker games where the game dev has to advertise their Steam group, no.

Especially for a game dev to try to get out of the Profile Features Limited phase, all so they have the ability to implement inventory items that are marketable to make them money on their zero effort spam clicker games.

No, it's not a clicker game, but rather the acquisition of truly unique items that are one-of-a-kind.

Yes you can. You click on the military ship icon sitting in your system, and that automatically selects all military ships in that system. Then you X out the fleets you don't want and move the rest.

You know what's way easier than that? Selecting one fleet because the fleet size is actually large enough to contain the amount of ships you want to travel together.

Skill issue. Play in story mode or git good

I didnt say the game ran AMAZINGLY well, but I wouldnt expect it to be playable on that older rig. I would be shocked if you were pulling high setting in anything modern and getting even remotely close to 80 fps. We all have different standards. There was a time before all my upgrades where I was seriously happy at 60 fps or even 50. There were times where I was happy with low/ medium settings at 45 fps in 1920 x 1080. Standards evolve. Eventually youll upgrade and feel the same. But yeah that rig isnt really very modern so I dont expect you really running anything "great". You may run some games better than this, as I do as well, but dont act like entitled to have modern games running amazing on nearly 10 year old hardware

I didnt expected high settings at 80 fps. I said I could usually get 60 on about medium with most current games (at 1080p).

It runs much better on the new pc I got today. Solid 60 fps at recommended settings. I got to Edo which I think looks really nice. I'll have to go back and see how Yokohama region looks to compare.

It looks like you can choose to play online two ways.
Steam only or connect to Xbox Live.

If you connect Steam version to Xbox Live, you can play with Xbox and PS5 players.
When connected to Xbox Live, you can also invite Xbox players on Steam version.

Multiplayer in Gears of War games on Xbox are populated for years, so i recommend linking to Xbox Live.

You dont seem to understand what the setting does. It does not matter if you link your Xbox account. If the Xbox and PS players turn off crossplay, PC players will not be able to match into them despite being logged into an Xbox account. Gears of war 4 was like this and it became unplayable a few months after release until TC forced crossplay on at the end of its life cycle.

If the setting worked like how you are thinking, there would be no point for it to exist in the first place.

And Playstation/Xbox players won't be able to play with each other. Oh no.

Anyways, I'm excited for this

not sure if this is the right place to say this- tried to find a bug report link but couldnt- but, when you do the exchange thing where you can auto put in duplicates, if i have a outfit/hat/skin favorited, it wont add the duplicates to the exchange automatically. i assume its bc it's favorited and they dont want you to accidentally exchange a hat you realy like, but its kinda annoying to go through manually to make sure it got duplicates. is there a setting for this or is this a unintended/indented feature.
