game is not bad by any means. One could even call it fun. But its not BATTLEFIELD. Signature of being huge maps with massive all out warfare.. this aint it. Its like somekinda weird lite version of it.

Corbald, it is a very weird issue ngl, since after checking your fork it should be working fine with or without the patch. Can you get a HugsLib report, cause it will have all mods and patches applied in your game, so we could see, if there is just other mod that patching it too and breaking? Cause with current info it even hard to tell, whenever it mod compat issue between few patches or save corruption or there is a mod that changing something on a base level causing issues. So far I have a feeling that you might have an optimization mod that doing something unsafe, causing such issue, since you said that it works fine in new game with cleaner mod pack.

Also regarding your issue with VNPE itself described in pull request, could it be also caused by some mod incompat, cause after playing few playthroughs with Odyssey and VNPE I haven't encounter this issue?

I had a similar thing happen when taking incendiary rounds after taking piercing. The burning effect happens to the first enemy hit, but the bullets don't pierce to targets behind them.

I suspect what might be happening is that the incendiary rounds override the piercing effect, and I don't think that it's intended behavior.
