These patch notes just scream we didn't do enough work, but we need to look like we did. I'm a game developer my self and I'm quite a lazy-ass and that's exactly how half of my patch notes look like. That list of known issues being larger than fixed is even more hilarious.
The devs are either so incompetent that they have an insane pile of tech debt (♥♥♥♥ code that's hard to fix/add on to) or they're lazy and don't give a damn. This is not an issue of missing manpower.

When you realize they basically lied about crossplay being ready. There isn't a world where it's ready a suddenly hours before release it stops working and needs months of work. You don't touch anything in the games code days before release to guarantee the most stable build. If you do, your game is not ready for release. They also 100% knew the game isn't ready for the release after the last beta test. (Unless they're straight up stupid) They are basically scammers not calling this pile of bugs and glitches an early access.

The only thing that could redeem the devs of this game is that the publisher forced them to meet a deadline. Which happens quite often sadly. However they never said anything like that and nothing from what I've learned/found suggests that. (Feel free to correct me on this)

Now the player base is gone. This won't get fixed with crossplay. The issue of not enough players is on Xbox and PS as well. Granted the amount of players is estimated by how long it takes to queue for each category so it's that not accurate, but it's good enough indicator that it's not much better on other platforms.

Their in my opinion only way to "fix" all of these problems is using us paid users as QA fixing everything and after all that re-release as a free game to regain player numbers. Unless the player base does return naturally after all fixes are in. Which can happen of course, but it's very rare.

Please keep in mind that this comes from somebody who really likes the gameplay of this game. I loved it since the betas, but damn did they took a giant stinking ♥♥♥♥ on the game.
