I am having a similar problem. The update worked just fine earlier today and I built a corvette. But now when I try to load any save, the game does the stars loading screen fades to white then crashes to desktop. I turned down the graphics all the way and it loaded enough to show my character in my base then crashed to desktop. I did not get any errors or crash info though. I looked up other people having the same problem and supposedly turning off frame generation fixes it but there is no option to turn off frame generation in settings. Hopefully someone finds a solution to this or hello games updates the game fixing the problem.
