I opened the game did the shaders then it crashed with an unreal engine message and now it crashes everytime i try to load.

Hi there, I've encountered the same problem and when I try your solution I end up with an error code: 0xc000007b

I also receive this code on games like State of Decay and Grid 2 which I installed
all within the past week. I know it has something to do with dll files but I don't understand how I have the same problem on all of them.

suggestions for fixing this?

In case anyone wants to know the pathway shown in the error message, here it is:

1. I went into the BF6 steam folder and tried starting "EAAntiCheat.GameServiceLauncher"
It gave me an Error, saying I'm missing a DLL-file called "MFPlat.dll"

and behold… it booted up like magic!

I did end up finding a DMP file at %LocalAppData%/CrashDumps. Ill investigate further with WinDbg later but the error print is:

gameoverlayrenderer64.dll is the steam overlay. renamed it and then got another dmp for windows.storage.dll
