No he can't.
He can do a lot of damage with the flame, but not only is it really hard for him to even hit you but it's also not a oneshot unless you have negative fire resistance
Not even Nerg can oneshot you even in low rank armor.
People spent too much time with tempereds and master rank monsters and forgot how easy regular non tempered low and high rank monsters are

What are these creatures that build more of themselves using debris?

If they are from a mod, then the vanilla AI wont be programmed to deal with it. It may be that the vanilla AI is attempting an attrition tactic, if sending '400 ships' (you mean a fleet strength of 400?) would inflict some casualties on the creatures (and the AI is not programmed to understand the creatures could get stronger using debris because that isn't a vanilla tactic. Remember, computer game AI is not really AI or even machine learning, it can't learn.

Though it's perhaps more likely that terrible pathfinding is just sending fleet through the dangerous wormhole system on its way to somewhere else.

thanks for the replies. From what I've read so far, i think I've come to the conclusion that i am way "over leveled". I've been following the main quest expecting it to lead me through the more advanced mechanics and abilities... but it seems like its not well designed if that is the intent.

Being I've never heard of any of the pals mentioned (except the kelpsea), it seem by focusing on the main quest i was accidentally "speed running" things and my progress has been artificially inflated and skewed to the point i don't have the infrastructure to support the tier level the game wants me to be at...

FWIW, i am making cakes and found sticking them in breeding pen keeps them from rotting. i have been spending most of them so far for condensing a vixy to the point it will make higher tier balls.

Do you mean a cooler box? i currently have it with a pure ice pal with lvl2 chilling and nothing else (cant remember name) Im probably going to end up disabling food rot and getting rid of it though until they get around to making the cooling mechanic better as that thing is eating 4 food and just sits there chilling out all the time (sorry couldn't resist pun. is it really a pun though when its literal?).

bushi(boss) and foxparks. before i had a inceniram(to do other things also and arsox but they ate too much. Also my experience with arsox was kind of the opposite. it prioritized cutting wood over cooking. on that note, I ended up deconstructing the stone and lumber buildings since they seemed to have the highest priority over any other task.

I had them farming for a long time, i think i still have 300-400 fluids somewhere. not sure how that helps this situation though unless you mean to sell for electric organs?

I think ill just box up the base for now except the things i need to support exploration and get to max capture of all the pals I've seen and maybe get some traits i've heard people mention that might help things.
