Hmm, ist das nach dem Hotfix nun immernoch so? Weil bei mir funktioniert alles einwandfrei, ausser dass alle Kunden in der Selbstbedienung den gleichen Betrag bezahlen, egal was sie eingepackt haben.

Except it does "Help" it's not going to fully prevent cheaters, there's not a single tool out there that will prevent every cheater ever and have a playable build for pvp type games. I'm sorry there just isn't. What game companies are trying to do is stem the bleeding against the tens of thousands (minimum) of cheaters that will be trying to play the game. I wish that was an exaggeration but it's not.

Defense in depth is the play nowadays. My work system has 5/6 different security programs on it and I know our servers have 4/5 other ones besides them. Cheating and malware are massively profitable currently so there's no shortage of cheats being made. If people stopped buying them then they'd stop making them.

TTK is a clear issue and its either because its based around damage SBMM or the netcode is backwords and broken on damage dealt, because shots register but damage consistently doesn't

Whether BG should use it not.... well, i'd say if they were to get rid of crit fails, they should also get rid of crit success - which is equally stupid. A person with zero skill at lockpicking can somehow unlock the most complex locks in the game 1 in 20 times?

So, if you want Larian to get rid of critical fail, also ask them to get rid of crit success... and enjoy the loss of automatic 1 in 20 win rolls.

That not fair?

Nat 20s don't *have* to be balanced by critical fails (or vice versa). They are automatically balanced if the DM allows NPCs and monsters to have the exact same rules.

I tend to think as a game system that crit fails/successes should not be used for ability checks, but that they are OK for saving throws and attack rolls. It makes more sense for combat-type stuff to be a little chaotic than it does for ability checks.
