Because, it is not part of the Gothic 1 classic, because Gothic 1 classic is a full game, because this are different timelines and a change between these timelines will break the immersion?

First of all this is going to be a remake and NOT remaster. There will be huge deviations from OG in world and character development from the creative point of view of new dev team. Forget about anything story and lorewise that happned in classic version because this remake and everything that will follow after it is going to be new canon version of the Gothic.
