It never had a shape, tf2 community was always like a sticky white fluid puddle on the floor about which everyone forgot, it dried up and became brownish.

I threatened to boycott Epic if they didn't make the switch. I think it scared them, so we should hopefully see a change soon.

You made a good point about red pills. Bioware tried to insert a lot of advice for fellow nerds, in a (usually) unobtrusive way. There is another lesson in it, IMO: The bhaalspawn can't fix this problem, no matter their power.

However, for the sake of discussion, some words in favor of Lissa:

1) She was very young when she made the promise to marry Jan. If you marry, you also marry all the future versions of your partner. Teenagers and young adults sometimes go through fundamental changes. It's risky to state you want to be with a person that might be very different from the one you know right now.

2) Both are entitled to change their minds. It's lawful to keep your promises, but in the worst case, it can be self-destructive. Being with a partner you don't really want anymore will ruin your day, and the resulting mood will also impact your partner's life.

3) Wrong decisions happen, especially to the inexperienced. How is a young person supposed to perfectly know what partner to pick? When a young good guy enters a relationship, his partner can be surprisingly awful.

4) It's rough to acknowledge you made a fundamentally bad decision. Especially if someone else suffered due to it (here: most importantly, Jaella). It's tempting to cover up your decision instead: "He isn't that bad", "but he does this one good thing" or "I changed him a little bit".

5) With an idealistic view on partnership, marriage because of wealth seems disgusting, sure. But if a person values comfort and material security more than feelings, what are they supposed to do? Change of personality is a slow process, with setbacks and no guarantee of success. Trying the "love thing" against personal beliefs will get both sides hurt.

Jan is right about keeping an eye on Jaella's well-being. But he should move on and look for someone who shares his values more.

She sounds more child-like this time around but less bratty, if that was possible. I can see why people prefer the previous VA since it sounds like a read-through.
