I'm not 100% sold on the different hardware/over-taxing the game theories yet, but this will depend heavily on Egosoft's implementation of their script handling: does the game just drop execution of threads that generate errors, run for too long, or when it feels it has too many running? I have seen games that do this that result in some crazy issues as a result of snowballing effects from their dropping threads over an extended period of the game running, though these are generally fixed by saving & reloading.

While I have seen issues in other games related to different hardware giving different results, this typically was small, floating point differences and only mattered because they were using a deterministic system for replays and MP that could snowball to desyncs later. Anything more than that typically throws some pretty serious errors from what I've seen. 🤷♂

On top of that I think that different ships have different issues and issues of different severances. Like the Odyssey has probably lower main gun issues, than ships with relatively static aim on them. In my 1k hours of playtime, I lost maybe 1 out of like 30-40 Odysseys I used for siege to a station, most other losses were to defending fleets.
Yes, indeed this could have an effect as well. I believe ¥aeko has even commented before that they see better behavior out of some (like the Raptors?) than others.
