This was surprisingly good.
Went in expecting not much to be honest, but I was pleasantly surprised.

The setting is familiar but fresh at the same time.
Exploration and puzzles seem to be on point.
Expect no hand holding.

Also the combat has weight and fluidity.
So many people complain on here because it doesn't handle exactly like a souls game.
Personally I believe thats a plus. I had no trouble whatsoever dodging and parrying stuff. You can even cancel out of any attack animation at any time. Also you can attack, dodge out and heal after every successful attack chain with a Nioh like timing mechanic. Pretty neat.

This game even has a difficulty slider, the bane of any Souls purist. You don't even lose stuff after dying. Enemies don't respawn after reaching a checkpoint. So don't expect a Souls game.

This is more about exploration, solving puzzles, enjoying story and atmosphere.
Combat is Souls-LITE at max. More akin to classic action games tbh. At least that's what the demo suggests.

I would have liked to continue.
Will definitely buy it when it comes out.

Also no performance issues at all.

It's absolutely infuriating. This game needs the ability to manually select a builder or multiple and have an action available when clicking on the abandoned building that puts it at the front of their queue. the "prioritize this building for immediate repair" button, seems to do absolutely nothing.

Anyone else running into this? it is so infuriating.

so I've been playing this since really early beta I don't even remember it's been two or three years I guess, I'd have to verify sorry, but my point is this has been a problem with this game since day one when you start getting a little large over 500 population or 400 maybe repairs seem to go out the window I have yet to have a building get repaired after I've seen that it needed repairs it's been an ongoing problem that the developers have never taking an issue with, once your building start showing signs that it needs to be repaired it will never be repaired it will continue to go downhill. I don't know where I did it but I've sent in a couple of tickets to the developers asking them about this and I have been completely ignored they don't answer anything about that question, other questions I've gotten answers but that question has never been answered so I think the developers have a really nasty bug that they can't fix and they don't wanna talk about it.
But I've done my part I have done my due diligence in trying to bring this to light and have been ignored

we need big maps and bigger vehicles

unless you're sending them out to everyone that wasted $60 on your buggy tech demo you can piss off

for real... BF6 has INSANE graphics specially with ray tracing on. But I cant find cinematic moments like I have in 2042

Having just watched both versions of the cutscene on YouTube, Rockstar made an interesting choice here. In the original version, shadows obfuscate the groin and you can't see much. It's a grim, dreary scene. In the new version, the dead guy is mooning you right when you enter. Just a big ol' pale butt, right in the middle of the screen. I confess... I laughed. It's a very different vibe!

I agree with that. But I also think the $40 base price with additional heros costing $20 each is expensive for a game like this.

No
