weird, I have made a very bad character mod with paint.net and it worked fine. (is still in a very early state and not looking any good for now)

Has anyone ever gotten infected with malware or viruses from connecting with someone else' computer while playing multiplayer through steam?

I always feel like it would be cool to play multiplayer but the thought of connecting to a random persons computer is off putting, is there a chance... say if that persons computer had malware on it that it could spread to yours?

Hopefully antivirus software would stop it but yeah it's still something that's in the back of my mind.
