Truly Unbearable

I am faced with the following problem. in February 2025, I passed the Exodus metro for the first time and was very satisfied, I don't remember any complaints, there were very rare FPS drawdowns at the Taiga level, but overall the game was very enjoyable to play. In the summer, I decided to knock out 100% of my achievements and was very disappointed. the essence of the problem lies in the fact that the game freezes at random on any settings, be it ultra, extreme, low, and with any screen resolution (I myself have 1000000, so I tried both fullhd and native resolution, and even less than fullhd). The game literally runs at about 80-110 fps, and then it drops to 20 fps per second and returns to 80-110 after a second. I turned on the msi afterburner and noticed the following: as soon as I turn on the game, the GPU frequencies are generally normal, somewhere between 1200-1300 MHz (I have an rtx 3060 laptop), after a while (just before the start of the freezes) the frequency drops to EXACTLY 900 MHz and the game lasts for some time at this frequency (fps is stable at this time and it's pleasant to play) and just before the freeze occurs, the frequency jumps to 1710 MHz and immediately drops to 900 MHz again. Just at the moment of increasing the frequency, the game freezes. I might have decided that my laptop just wasn't suitable for this game, BUT IN FEBRUARY I WENT THROUGH THE SUBWAY ON ULTRA SETTINGS, WAS SATISFIED, TOOK SCREENSHOTS AND PLAYED FOR ALMOST 30 HOURS. Also, I have not noticed such a problem in any other game. I would like to know what to do about it.

I don't know what it means either, but the repair bay is under the 'zones' tab of construction.

yesterday i had 2 that went into the city at the start, without even killing the starting camp, i played normal killed camp then mini bosses and stuff, we met again when circle closed first time, they come back with 4 legendary weapons, couse every took longer then normal, 1 left before 1 nightboss, we were lvl 9 start day 2, and as normal i run at that time into the city to clear left side first then go to the legendary chest, check that and then kill astel, so we were 10 when when we reached the city, so running there for a legendary weapon first was useless, you cant even hold it, yes i know you guys are horny for marais or GoT sword, but for real, i saw them 10 times in over 200 runs, so for 5% droppchance, you will ruin every run? why dont we clear outside day first, get churches and stuff?

At least it's 'only cosmetic'? Ironic in a gatcha game, I know

what makes you say that ? Dow1 had 4 factions before the 3 addons and we know of atleast 3 for sure confirmed with gameplay reports.

Looking at the rest of the series, I don't see it getting nearly as much expansion/DLC support unless it makes absurd amounts of money.

So if I understand the situation correctly, the traders are really going to wait until things are ♥♥♥♥ before reacting, there is a kind of inertia, they are not going to say to themselves that stocks are low so we should get moving? I don't know, maybe the game is set like that, tell me.

Idk what forums you've been browsing or how selective your reading is, but everywhere I've seen a lot of ppl like them. Personally tho I've never been a fan of bosses in souls games.

The thing that drew me in to Dark Souls & others was the routine experience. Danger was everywhere, in every mob, behind every corner. Controls were extremely responsive and reliable, you had constant unpredictability through invasions & coop, and ofc. the full freedom to build your character your way, while exploring at your own pace.

About the only thing I liked about the bosses was the cinematic experience, the atmosphere and presentation. But this boring puzzle design where it's just a matter of dying over and over and over until after 10 or 50+ times you learn all their moves and how to dodge them? It's the worst.

I do enjoy Nightreign, but the design falls really far off the mark for me. The best things from prior games are gone: builds are mostly RNG, no exploration nvm at your own pace it's just a race against time, invasions & spontaneous coop is out, routine danger doesn't even exist since all the difficulty comes exclusively from pathing & RNG & bosses, etc etc.

Almost all of the difficulty here is loaded onto the Nightlords. Which take 30min+ to get to, and tend to be cheap as heck since they're balanced against 3 players of any range... so ranged classes have to deal with constant 360 degree ranged attacks that make no sense, while melees have to spend 90% of the fight running after a boss that just won't stay still.

There was test run results in Paradox forum. EU5 turn takes at the beginning of the game about as much time as EU4 takes at the end of the game. Give or take some time...
So it is rather good, if you have fast modern CPU!
EU5 has so much more provinces and is more complex game, so about being two times slower means that they have managed to optimize the game very well even before the release!
But if you have problems with EU4 you should upgrade before going to EU5.
