There's no traditional gender selection nor any of characters have preferences.

Essentially you can romance any character even date multiple ones (2? is the limit, correct me if I'm wrong). However can only marry one character once marriage is added.

How do I get this update? When i try to join a multiplayer room, it says wrong version for any game that is v1.0.7, however, steam has no updates for me

Just add r.Fog=0 to your engine.ini to get rid of the hazy effect. C:\Users\xxxxx\AppData\Local\DuneSandbox\Saved\Config\WindowsClient and open engine.ini and add this to the end.

You'll still see storms, smoke, and everything else. Just removes the awful haze and lowers intensity while inside a storm graphically. So graphically it looks way better.
