I've been waiting for this update for a long time. Thank you!!!!!

Is there plans to add a pseudo-creative mode where houses and buildings are placed randomly like in the regular modes, but you get unlimited roads, highways, bridges, etc? I wanted a mode like that as well so I could "practice" in a sense without worrying about losing and having unlimited items to test things.

I'd like to start "elevating" my game (see what I did there?) ... and get more creative with my builds, but obstacle #1 is: What's the point if I can't "see" my build because it's behind a 3-6m wall?

I've known about moats for years, but never actually tried one (mostly because they were just ugly utilitarian ditches). But yours looks mighty nice ... I may steal it. Maybe that's my solution ... protection AND being able to see my base!

It depends what you want for aesthetics. The game starts in the stone age and your tech advances to the copper age, the bronze age, the iron age, and then you get into black metal and magic and you never get to the industrial age.

IRL the Viking age ended in the late iron age. Just before the invention of gunpowder in the West.

The techniques used in the VIking age were moats (dry or wet) with the material dug from teh moat used to make an earthen wall. The interior had 2 roads one east/west the other north/south that crossed in the center and in each of the quarter sections there were a group of 4 lodges with open work space in the center. The Vikings called them trelleborgs.

At the time they were built they were practically impregnable. The only way to collapse the wall was by sapping which was rendered nearly impossible if the moat was a wet moat instead of a dry one. The remains of the trelleborg that was built in Trelleborg, Sweden are visible and have been preserved.

For myself I use earthen walls with pits dug in front of the gates. As long as your walls have a diameter of 96 meters or less and you have spawn prevention layered so there are no gaps your base is raid proof except for flying creatures. Bat raids can be trivialized by keeping tames inside buildings that have no openings and by making sure chimneys have no gaps larger than 1/2 meter.

The aesthetics are accurate for the time period.

As the title says - add easter eggs, secrets and things like this. But never reveal them - wait to see if players can find them. This will be awesome.
For example hidden places with something cool.
Or secret combination of items when you are in your inventory - to have some abilities.
I wonder if there are actually any secrets in the game - we have not found yet??

WASD movement is a pain in the booty for this style of game, though. But there ya go. 5 seconds of searching on Nexus.

I still don't know what the flute even does. :(
"clues" have been far and few between.
