I could just upgrade to the cheap copy, Melon Playground, which is updated every month with more features and would practically be on par with People Playground if it were released for PC. But I know People Playground is 1000 times better!... but I still have doubts about what's going on. Why don't they just say if they're taking a vacation or if the game is on hiatus? More questions than answers.

Question about "In response to the tutorial"

I had to set up someone for a slam. And I did. I did have a difficult time in primary school, you're quite correct. My first trauma was failing to tie my shoes: I've been a quitter ever since :)

Luke, thanks for the reply, and I apologize for putting too much snark in my OP (the comment about weak script). It should be noted that I must be a dope (who had lots of difficulty in primary school) because I did not know it was that simple to skip the tutorial.

My intent was, if the complexity needed explaining, to jump onto YT for someone playing further into the game. And on YT, where I follow several different wargames groups, I have not heard a negative word about Burden of Command - only positive ones that indicate it's a compelling experience.

I'm old, and I don't like being forced to learn new things by being attached to rails. No one puts baby in a corner :)

And anyone who can learn World in Flames is not that adverse to learning LOL.
I was thinking about your post last night. THink of this like learning a new boardgame, sadly there are some rules to be read/tutorials to be played for a new experience. Also I remembered that we had two groups of grognards come through and had same pattern of their needing tutorials to be not frustrated/confused, just because we violate some conventions in the boardgaming world too. For example Fire does not 'break' units like Squad Leader.

And you were able to skip tutorials? You mean 2nd time around? You can absolutely do that just not the first time :-) Apologies if I misread things.

EOMM is about making the game more pleasant like punishing leavers/throwers that ruin the game by the form of penalties

No the difference is EOMM takes into account your system specs, latency, and other factors, where as SBMM only takes into account your skill.

EOMM takes into account the engagement, if people keep leaving games, usually dps big ego insta locks and all 6 are dps mains, 3 will leave and ruin the game, no one joins and the game becomes 1 sided and unfun, then they will come and complain about rigged matchmaking EOMM is a problem but the problem will be fixed IF they put EOMM in matchmaking

Well... so it is not known?... I have thought and thought, and investigated, I know that from 2021 until some point in 2023 the game was updated with new versions every 2 to 3 months, there were some breaks from 1.25 and 1.26, then they released the beta of 1.27 and... they disappeared???..... I can understand that they have finished it and everything, but disappear without saying anything?... I took the idea that they may be on a break, but the same question comes up, Without warning of anything???...
