Maybe the mission allows you to kill it while you are out of sector. Combat is calculated differently and more simple OOS.

I feel that this is related to your SSD and not Steam. A 250GB NAND of that time may be reaching its write limit if used frequently due to the tiny size.

Pro Tip: Do it liek me, buy a Console additional to your PC, it will open your eyes and proof you that you are right with the cheaters, in such games on PC there are EASY 30-40% if not more players with a modded client aka "hack/wh/ESP/cheat/noskillhelpscript" :-)

If you want i have a little video on steam where i had 3 and 3 spawn. And in the same stage run i had spawn 2 on boss tagu mk4, which kinda steamrolled me to death :)
