I don't think it's appropriate to use such a patronizing tone. It's their project and their responsibility. Of course, it's great when a team listens to the community, but they must also have their own vision - one they believe in. Being dragged around by the crowd is a one-way ticket to disaster.

You make me laugh. Since when listening to what your clients want or wish it is a disaster? Haven't you heard of phrases like "the customer is always right" or "our client, our master?" How can you say something so silly, if the players demand something it means the product , the game it will be bought by them. The creators of Arcania didn't listen to the crowd because they knew better and look where they ended.

You make a disfavor to WoTR by comparing it with BG3. Both games have a diffrent target with some overlaps. BG3's target is wider audience and thats good for whole genre, because alot of people will reach for WoTR or WH40K RT while waiting for BG4.

Owlcat could also learn a few things from Larian to make their games a little bit more accesible. You confuse accesiblity with complexity. There was a vote on reddit long time ago and vast majority of people voted that they beat the game on normal/core. Not everyone has a time for 800 hours campaign when they got full time job and 20 other games that they had purcharsed and not played yet.

Dont think so. Not every BG3 player is attracted by other CRPGs. And those core CRPG players problably dont like the simplicity of BG3.

And yes, you need time to figure out how things are working in Pathfinder. Thats part of the fun. And if dont like to invest that time, thats a you problem.
