Game not starting after the update

Actually, there is a ton of weird stuff going on when this game launches now. Something in the latest update is eating a ton of resources and system handles. They really broke something here. I've never seen a "Maximum number of clients reached" error before. Somehow this update is triggering that in the steam app, and any other X client that tries to start.

Hi, I double checked what I could double-check on our side, generally the game needs at least read only access to the files, nothing unusual (this seems to be quite a unique case).

Do you think you could have a look at one of the files in file explorer (for example, in the original install location,
F:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Silence of the Siren\Silence of the Siren_Data\StreamingAssets\ModuleCore\Database\AbilityShaderParameterCurves.xml) and see if you can open it (notepad will probably pop up)? Maybe have a look at its properties and properties of the folder to see if there's anything unusual?
