That’s kind of the point though - a game isn’t just about pulling the trigger. It’s world-building, story, atmosphere, community. If it was purely shoot pixel men, done, then sure, language wouldn’t matter. But the fact that devs put effort into lore, dialogue, menus, even UI shows they know immersion counts.
And yeah, it might sound dramatic to talk about respect for a player base, but honestly - when millions of people speak a language, ignoring them isn’t just a quirky design choice, it’s leaving money and goodwill on the table.
Cringe is temporary, bad localization decisions are forever.

This might sound crazy but a thing that helped a lot after launch was changing to inactive chat channels. I think i was changing global and trade.

If you want to do a quick sanity check on this just watch your latency and chat and see if it spikes right after someone says something.

I use a campfire and don't see a big problem with the dryer, it really dries in 15-17 minutes (If you take the longest drying things like armor and a bag, a regular shirt can dry in 5 minutes). On the other hand, the character's body dries for a long time, you don't dry after a shower for 20 minutes, you can dry yourself with a towel and be dry in 5. Realism is good, but hyperrealism in games makes them boring.
