Agreed. Its been years and the way the question keeps getting disregarded and ignored seems intentional. There's been talk about the guy in charge of this having his own personal vision of the game which lead to the initial community arguments about being able to rotate the camera during regular play, not just build mode. The guy in charge has stated the game started as a game project for HIM- what HE would like to play. The character is a self insert, and is likely why they won't add real feminine options. In his vision, that steps on this being his personal game.

After years of complaints he made all the 2D models 3D so camera rotation could be done, and he made a big deal about the time and effort it took to accomplish. Some times development is discussed like it's his baby egg that he alone works, and other times it sounds like he has a small team helping him. This whole thing has been interesting to watch unfold.

I used to talk about this game to my friend and force them to listen to me in hopes of convincing them to join me when the promised multiplayer features would come out. Delays and a lack of expansion ended up killing the hype. I don't know what we can expect from this development, but it would indeed be nice if we could even just HEAR something about a female model or why they for sure won't do it.

Not because it'll be bad necessarily, I really liked the beta. Its just EA's MO for these MP centric games. Probably won't get burn this time...

I feel very positive about it, because it seems to reimagine the first Dawn of War with all its base building and massive battles, which is my clear favorite. I'd also assume that King Art games is probably a good fit for the game, since they had the opportunity to gain some experience in that genre with Iron Harvest first. I'd also assume that they can operate with a significantly higher budget on DoW4 compared to Iron Harvest. As long as they don't try to reinvent the wheel like DoW3 did, and just stick to what DoW1 made great, they should be fine.
