earlier on today i was in the main menu and it said smth along the lines of 'can't load lobby, needs to update' so stupidly I closed the game and pressed update, and no download would start
I kept trying to press the update button which didn't do anything, so I uninstalled the game and tried to reinstall, same thing
tried that a few more times before it started actually downloading, agonisingly slow that is
i tried a few things to make it go faster but no matter what it just downloads very VERY slowly
the whole won't download thing isn't an active issue, but any ideas on how to A increase download times or B any ideas on what that download thing was

Honestly the biggest issue with sales was probably just that it was a bit too original.

I think that the marketing was terrible. It was unclear what this game was about. Also, the ability to control the two characters was poorly explained. The marketing made it look like it was just an action game with the two characters being a gimmick.

If I hadn't watched a video that talked about the game, I would have concluded that it wasn't something that interested me.

Its a really bad addition to the game and is just making new players and noobs get sent to chinese servers / difficulties they shouldn't be on. Really should be taken out back or at least have the exploit to put 3rd party servers at the top of the list gone.

I just see people complaining about 3rd party servers and hosting locals as a solution because they think Valve officials are down or something. Its very hurtful for the game to have every match be a 3rd party server or local server and I really feel quick match is the biggest contributing factor to this.

The definitive edition allows you to play any of the four campaigns. If you want to play multiplayer you have to use the Soulstorm ruleset. If for some reason you want to play Dark Crusade multiplayer, you should keep it installed.

Yes, people can feel things even though they are not true. Yes, promises were made during the development of the game, and proven to be a bad idea because the developers were not able to pay their bills. That is the reality of new ambicious teams, sometimes they need to course correct.

You wouldn't be happier if the game continued free with no development. Those are the options on the table. Asking the devs to continue working for free is not a reasonable demmand, founder or not founder.

agreed. cs2 turned out to be worse than csgo.
the splash screen is worse and more convoluted
the movement is worse
the registry is worse
the servers are worse
vac is worse
EVEN THE CHEATING IS WORSE!!!
i haven't found ONE thing i like about it better and i've been playing the cs franchise since the day it was released as a mod.

i never claimed otherwise. I said i don't care for history accuracy and that i want 2 handed swords. Cause i think an ARPG needs these weapons, the more diverse the better. I would even want to see correct animations for all these weapons even though i know it's a lot of work for small benefits as i am aware i am in the minorty here. Most people dont care that much for this stuff.

I think TQ2 so far does a bad job at feeling "greece" anyway, my char looks mire like some savage anglo saxon and not like a "greek" fighter.

I assure you nobody but really sad people care about historical accuracy in a fantasy rpg to begin with. It's just a good way to meet both sides demands. A win / win pretty much.
