i think the metrics on D:A looks far far worse than the declining players on steamchart.. without players , there wont be any DLC sales.. without option to reclaim deleted items the returnign players will never go back.. and this is before the endless bugfix and KoS PVP grifting..

at the end of day , the real things that matters is how to retain players to sell DLC..
Ironic, whining about "griefing" and them taking steps to screw over PvPers is core issue of declining players on steamcharts. At same time Rust and Albion has constant sustained playerbase growth because they stick to their guns.

I would give one tip to all developers: If you are spineless, don't make PvP games, you will get manipulated by redditors and these ppl into destroying your own game. Kudos to Bohemia Interactive, Sandbox Interactive, Facepunch, CCP and every single dev that stick to their vision.

Nice how people seem to only see in the vision of this game what they want to see. You seem to see this only as a PvP game, but Google says this:

"The vision for Dune: Awakening is a multiplayer survival game set on a war-torn Arrakis in an alternate timeline where Paul Atreides is never born. Players will explore the harsh desert environment, survive against sandworms, build bases, and engage in cooperative or competitive gameplay as they vie for control of the planet. The game blends the survival aspects of games like Conan Exiles with the social interaction of a large, persistent world."

See the word OR in there? The game is for both PvE and PvP. What Funcom is doing is to actually implement something that meets their vision. What they gave us was not a finished game and did not fulfil their vision for this game.

What we have now with the DD is a placeholder that provides both PvE and PvP. They have already said it is not the final form of what they want. They plan to make something for PvP and PvE players. It doesn't sound like it will be anything like what we have now. They don't seem to be willing to share just yet what it will be, just that the DD as it is now, isn't it.

I really appreciate the new features in Conquest, especially Persistent Maps — it’s a great step forward. But I want to raise a request that I know is shared by many players and especially the modding community: please give us full access to textmod and Enumerators in Conquest.

Right now, one of the most requested features from the community is Beutepanzers (captured vehicles with new textures). Developers have said this would be too much work because it would require thousands of new textures. But the reality is — the community already has those textures. The only thing missing is the ability to activate and assign them before a mission.

If Enumerators worked in Conquest the same way they already do in the Editor, this would solve the problem completely. Enumerators can easily be customized to apply any skin — numbers, letters, emblems, or even historical markings — directly to vehicles before each mission. Combined with textmod support, this would allow the community to handle all texture variation themselves, without any extra work from the dev team.

In practice, this means modders could instantly bring Beutepanzers and countless other historical variations into Conquest. Players could select vehicle skins and markings just like in the Editor, and the creative possibilities would be endless. With these two tools unlocked, the community would take care of the rest — textures, emblems, numbers, and even entire camo sets would multiply overnight.

Please consider enabling textmod + Enumerators in Conquest. It would empower the modding scene enormously, give players the historical immersion they are asking for, and reduce the workload on the dev team, since the community is ready and eager to create this content themselves.
