Yayo's Combat should have an assembly. Try to un- and resubscribe to that mod (NOT the addon but the main mod) to force Steam to download the mod again

A friend of mine told me that most people play on private matches, specially survival...

And I guess it makes sense, I played yesterday and there was 30000 people (odd number for being late night but yeah, timezones, I always forget them), however, there were very little games and all these games were on low difficulty, and yeah, survival had nothing...

Maybe people do not like playing with randoms?

If you don't mind losing settings, try Settings > Reset.
