Let me see if I can adjust the code to allow for online play without leaderboards.

Yeah, this is/was on my todo list ages ago. I had to take a break from coding due to a tumour that has caused brain damage, of all things!

I had implemented the restrictions against VAC-banned accounts, due to the recurring theme that 99% of cheat reports / cheat detections I was receiving, the cheaters had existing VAC bans. And I got tired of wasting my time investigating each report. Some cheaters were even bragging to me about how many VAC bans they've received from other games, and they wanted me to ban them too.

So a soft restriction was added to disallow VAC-banned accounts from playing online, even if their ban was from a different game. And I haven't had a cheat report since for the Steam version; working well in that regard.

Kind of like a bouncer at a door, Lady Tallowmere is not interested in having leaderboards be tainted due to known cheaters. If you want a clean slate, make a new Steam account.

But, the implementation is a bit heavy-handed.

I don't have an ETA. But let me try tackling this now.

I don't mind VAC-banned accounts from playing online, I just don't want leaderboard rankings being compromised. And honestly, with the effect of the tumour at the time, I did not have the brain power to adjust the code further to make changes. Cushing's Disease, tumour was removed Dec 2022. I'm about ~2.6 years into the 3-year brain-recovery healing process (though I'll never be 100% again). It was so hard to think properly at the peak of it. But some healing is happened, I'm a bit better now.

So, let me try getting back into some coding to adjust this.

You don't have to play it, I wouldn't rush to finish everyone, but it would be fun to have.

FBI have confirmed, and prosecuted, that hand-drawn or cgi or even AI created "loli" is illegal in all states in America. It does not matter that it is fake or make-believe or in a game or movie or still image. In fact, if it is in a movie, they will prosecute you 1 count for each frame of video that contains it(This HAS actually happened). When it comes to certain crimes, any personal justification, belief or mindset you try to argue will not hold in court. The most important questions in court will be "does it portray it?" and then followed by "Did you have it?". If the answer to both is "yes", then you will be fined, sentenced to a very long time in prison and then hope you can leave prison without "nonconsensual sexual activity" or "nonconsensual mutilation" happening to you because, newsflash: Being tried for any sexual crime will have you labeled as a sexual predator and placed on a public registry with requirement that you report it while also complying with life-altering laws. The people in prison will not be told that you are in for owning fictional, video game/hand drawn whatever of kids. They will just know that it involved kids. And they will hate you for that.

And NO ONE will care that it was "just code/fictional/may as well have been a rock if you use this sort of thinking" or whatever.

Arguing this point is pointless. What is NOT pointless is getting back on track to the main reason this thread was started: Credit Companies be doing illegal things themselves in doing this pressure. EU government is starting a class action suit. Hopefully, this clears things.

Your entire argument falls apart once you realize that there was no such stuff on Steam, as such stuff was already against the rules.

Terraria native is no longer launching on Linux Ubuntu kernel 6.8.0-71-generic. When trying to launch with proton I get this error log.
