I am still waiting for the game to pick me up. I got over 2k hours in souls games and was kinda hyped for elden ring, but the game feels like anti fun designe was a core element of it. (Input scanning, questionable resistance stacking in the early game seemingly targeting specific builds, gotcha moment after gotcha moment that I don't want to see a new player to get through. The onboarding in this game is attrocious.
The first two areas are beautiful and offer space for exploration, but the reward for exploring them is that you approach burn out by the time you hit the academy lake. It meanders on and on and on, so unless you know where which item and quest is you are very likely to get your fill of the game before the second rememberance boss falls.

It's just not a great early experience. Caelid is fun-ish, everything after the altus plateau is nice too, but you are looking at 30+ hours (emphesis on the +) of gameplay before you reach those places if you aren't constantly dieing. That's a steep investment to get through given the issues the early game presents you with.

If you are playing again and you intent to clean out everything it gets much worse.
If you are playing again and you just visit the locations needed to get yourself going (golden seeds, vendors, tears, your prefered selection of spells / npc quests..) it still takes hours you'd probably rather spend with something fun.

Don't get me wrong, there are interesting and fun locations within the first areas of the game, but they are few and far between with alot of annoyances diluting the space you have to traverse to get to them.
Another positive note: As long as you know what resistances apply where and how to circumvent them you got alot of possible build veriaty. You can ofcourse just run the bloodhound fang or simillar greatest hits weapons every time you play, but you have a broad selection of possabilities in weapons, spell choices and so on to make which is nice. Doesn't necessarily offset the drag for me personally, but it is noteworthy.

I was genuinely interested in this game, until I saw what they did again to European history.

People can claim that it is fantasy all they want.
We see it for what it is and what has been done for the last years, no matter how much some people did and will deny it.

The white population is below 10 % on this planet. They can make games about the history about other races but they too often take our history and try to warp it into something it never was.

We are doing nothing but standing up against something all other races would stand up against as well.

Since that is seen as bad, then it just shows how seriously wrong something is in this world.

All the division would not take place, if dev's would stop doing that. They could simply give char creators who would satisfy everyone but they seem to prefer the discussion and division over it or are oblivious or ignorant to the reaction of a specific group, because it seems to be trendy nowadays..

I guess Jan 6th represents the attitude of ALL Trump supporters. Case closed. Check and mate. If you deal in absolutes, you are only ever going to get a response in ABSOLUTES. Black and white. Us vs them. Understand this. Force answers with FORCE. Every action has an equal and opposite reaction. What YOU put out there, is what you'll get BACK. Instead of defining society by everyone else, why don't YOU try being a better person?

It is. It performs flawless on my end. And I have an extremely outdated CPU.

Reducing the screen resolution is a valid solution. Often people are ignorant about the real capabilities of their hardware. Just because a FPS seems to work doesn't mean a simulation game with more calculations needed for the physics engine can entertain the same detail settings. Over a certain threshold it's a zero sum game where software code ressources have to split the underlying hardware base.
