I've never played that game so I can't say 100%, and I've never used any cheat programs. If it goes wrong, please dont blame me.
That said, you need to be careful you never connect to a server having forgotten to utterly disable any cheats and anything you do use is obviously at your own risk as cheat developers/distributors might not always have your best interests at heart. In principle though, you can never be banned for cheating without connecting to a VAC server.
However,as usual: Own risk
What business of yours is that? If the OP wants to cheat in a singleplayer game he should be allowed to do so. As long as it doesn't affect anyone else I see no harm in it.
Regards,
Padfoot.
what a load of crap
in that case I would have been banned in every game that uses VAC for having cheatengine on my PC
Wat.
You do realize punkbuster was sued for doing exactly this? Not only that, but, it's easy to disprove. Drop a file anywhere on your PC and tell your filesystem (or, I prefer, inotify) to monitor it for read hooks.
Anyway, I've had cheat engine on my computer for years while playing CS:S, TF2 and all the others. I'm yet to be banned, because, I don't modify the memory of any VAC related processes.
It doesn't scan your PC, stop spreading mis-information. You ONLY get banned if you cheat in vac protected multiplayer.. You can cheat in the other 99% of video games with 0 repercussions.
What business of yours is that? If the SP doesn't want the OP to cheat he should be allowed to express his opinion. See, that works for any reply, including this one.
What on earth is an SP?
Anyway your post makes no sense because the "SP's" feelings on this matter are irrelevant since the OP's cheating in a singleplayer game doesn't affect him.
SP = "Secondary Poster" and everybody's entitled to their opinion, even you.
