That in theory should not result in a vac ban. There has been cases where people accidentally have cheat engine running hooked in to nothing or a non-vac game while connected to a vac server, these people have gotten away without any vac ban.
There is virtually zero documentation on vac, no one knows how it really works, and all information about it is found through experimentation.
Valve is protecting their software. You have no right to reverse engineer it and you using malware as an excuse is pretty funny. Let me make it clear, reverse engineering a piece of Valves software would make you a criminal. Do you understand that?
And no, you will not get VAC banned unless you plug the memory editor into a VAC game.
However, for the sake of caution it obviously is recommended to close it down before running such games.
I really don't care, especially when I said I am not reversing any Valve related processes. >_>
So in your mind, being in possession of a debugger makes you a criminal. I guess you apply the same broken knowledge to guns, too.
Newsflash: they most likely know anyway how it works.
Cheat-developers can reverse-engineer VAC binaries and know what it does scan, what it doesn't and therefore they know what to do to undetect their cheat and the loader/injector. Most cheats that are detected are public or poorly developed and poorly protected paid cheats.
I did not say it makes you a criminal. You mentioned reverse engineering which is illegal. The real question is why do you need VAC running while you are running the program? like a gun it can be used for legal and illegal activity. Insisting you need to reverse engineer software while you are connected to a vac server is suspicious.
