Vac ban for skin changer?

I was using a skin changer and got a ban :D. All i wanted is to run around as a batman but i guess it was way to much for VAC. Would like to know if there is a possibility to lift this ban because skin changers doesnt really give any advandages.

Skinchangers are cheats.
The ban is permanent.

What if you would have used to to change all player models to bright neon colors? Wouldn't that be an unfair advantage if you could see them a lot easier?

Skin changers are considered cheats because they alter protected game files and cheat Valve's microtransactions out as you would get skins without paying. An actual cheat don't need to have advantage for VAC to detect.

The ban is correct and permanent.

does not matter which one you used. vac does not care if it gives an advantage or not. it only cares that you messed with game files. make a new steam account and start over.

the game developers decide what you can and cannot change, not you. you are not allowed to mess with the games skins.

It can affect both skin creators and Valve that you would get skins by ripping off protected game files and changing your current weapons into the ones you prefer. Simple as that.

I really wish people would stop harping on the whole "theft of skins" thing.

That is NOT why VAC bans are applied for using a skin-changer.

Skin-changers are classified as cheats, as they should be..

they work exactly like a cheat and modify protected game files/memory. They can easily make your opponents skins neon. It is not necessary for VAC to tell the difference between them as modifying protected game files or memory is not allowed anyway.

all VAC bans come from the detection of a known cheat, whether it is used on the account itself or some sort of sharing has occurred (account, library or phone number).

Users are responsible for the security of the account and all that happens on it

Reformat your PC and make a new account. Your ban's legit and will never be removed.
